A New Flower book of Flowers and Their Messages

Dear Ashramites, Devotees and Disciples all over the world,

About three years ago I received a strong intuition that gave me a clear vision as to how to create a new flower book that would be so easy to use that anyone would be able to identify any flower Mother named without difficulty.

The book will be titled “A Field Guide to Flowers and Their Messages” and would include a

photograph of the flower in full colour with a measurement to show its actual size. Flowers would be grouped in sections by colour and the outer leaves opposite the spine of the book would be in the colour of the rainbow. If one found a blue flower one would only need to open to the blue section which would show the significances of all the blue flowers named by Mother, ranging from small to large. If the flower is not pictured then Mother did not yet reveal its significance.

To accomplish this formidable task we will require the assistance of many people. Here is a list of the categories for which we will need contributions.

1. Artists to do small line drawings inset on the lower part of each page to show the type of plant that bore the flower. It might be a tree, shrub, vine, annual, perennial, cactus, aquatic plant, etc.

2. Photographers to help amass excellent photos in accurate colour, focus and composition for the nearly 900 flowers named by Mother. We already have an excellent beginning collection but man more tropical flowers are needed as well as some flowers from colder climates.

3. Specialists in layout to make the book as user friendly and yet as beautiful as possible.

4. Proof-readers

5. Financial assistance from all who value the importance of this seminal work given to us by the Mother, an achievement unprecedented and unparalled in the world of flowers. We can arrange for all donations to be passed through one of our non-profit centers so that everyone can receive a tax deduction.

6. Computer specialists to create a database of all the flowers with a place to insert photos and line drawings that have been accepted. We already have hundreds of flowers that are of a very high quality so this work could begin immediately. Additionally, a friend from Australia has created a database in FileMaker Pro, which can be used as a starting point. Other suggestions would be much appreciated such as Open Source software.

To date we have already been encouraged by many who are sending their photographs, contributing ideas and suggestions to enable the book to be completed in less than three years.

The flower books currently available have been a great help to those truly interested in the messages of the flowers, their spiritual significances, but they are limited due to their arrangement. The book, Flowers and Their Messages is arranged alphabetically according to the botanical name and the book, The Spiritual Significance of Flowers is grouped according to spiritual categories chosen by the compilers, such as the Vital, the Physical, the Psychic, etc. and it is the first book to include many colour photographs as well. Yet, if one does not know the botanical name or is not familiar with botanical terminology, or doesn’t know either the botanical name or the significance, it is very difficult to find.

We envision a book that one can carry around, an inexpensive Field Guide that most people could easily afford.
